Overview

he Noel Fire Departments in East Hants is entirely volunteer based and is made up of residents from the community.  Volunteers dedicate their time to train, learn and grow as members of the Fire Service while responding to emergency calls both within their own community as well as supporting neighboring communities.

 

All required training is provided at no cost to you and is accomplished through training programs at the department level on a weekly basis and the Basic Firefighting program through the East Hants Fire Service.  Members may also participate in Nova Scotia Firefighter School courses with other agencies.

 

Training nights are on Mondays at 7:00pm.

What is Required?

  1. You shall be 18+ (age 14-17 for Junior Firefighting programs, if offered).
  2. You shall live within the boundaries of Noel Fire Department.
  3. You shall complete the Recruitment Application Form, found here.
  4. You shall have a physician sign off a Medical Eligibility Form and provide it to the department. (The department will cover the cost of the medical with valid receipt)
  5. You shall complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
